Task 1b
Location Photography:
Architectural Photography is a broad subject, including everything from skyscrapers to shacks. Everywhere we go, we are surrounded by some sort of architecture on a daily basis. Many photographers use scale as a concept when shooting architectural photographs, as it gives you an interesting outcome. Others only use small parts , not using the architecture as a whole. Many architectural photographers include: Ezra Stoller, Berenice Abbott, Eugène Atge, Iwan Baan, Bernd, Hilla Becher, Lucien Hervé, Candida Höfer to name a few.
Urban Photography is similar to street photography in that it takes place in an inner city environment but it differs from street photography in that it may or may not have people included in the image. Urban photos often take buildings, or rather the urban landscape itself as the main subject. Photographers include Nicholas Goodden, Ronya Galka to name a few.
Evaluate:
Through looking at location photography, keeping fashion photography in mind, has helped me greatly in this project as fashion photography has been a completely new concept to me. It has shown me that new ways to create depth to an image, new techniques which I think will help me when photographing fashion photography in the future.
